To equip the credit union industry to provide financial education opportunities for all ages.

CUFEN (Credit Union Financial Education Network) is a one-stop shop to discover financial education resources, showcase your accomplishments, and collaborate with your own peers!

Goals

CUFEN will:

  1. Create a strong organization that aims to increase network participation and media relationships.

  2. Provide a link to marketing resources, ideas, and networking to enhance the credit union movement.

  3. Be a resource for financial education topics, curriculum, networking, and ideas that encourage excitement for financial literacy.

  4. Establish leadership opportunities within the credit union movement.

  5. Develop strategic alliances with organizations that share organization values and goals.

  6. Report national credit union led financial education numbers within the credit union movement to add credibility and a unified voice.

  7. Maintain the financial resources necessary to ensure the future existence of the organization.

  8. Help share the credit union difference.

Recognition

CUFEN (formerly known as NYIB) was humbled to receive the National Credit Union Foundation’s 2011 Herb Wegner Award for Outstanding Organization. We were honored to represent so many credit union contributors that continue to make an impact in the communities in which they serve.
